Why Next Gen Admit

Where your story meets our strategy

Plenty of consultants profit by convincing students they're not enough. We start from the opposite belief. What's missing isn't your potential, it's the strategy to tell your story, and a coach trained to help you find it.

Get accepted for who you truly are

You don't need to force yourself into a box or invent a dramatic story to stand out. We help you uncover the deeper values and experiences that set you apart, then position them to show colleges why you belong on their campus.

Insider admissions access

As members of WACAC (Western Association for College Admission Counseling), our coaches maintain genuine relationships with admissions officers and always have the inside scoop. Make smart decisions at ease.

Your generation, on both sides

Work with coaches who actually get you. We're your generation and the age of the average admissions officer, so you can feel comfortable opening up, embracing your individuality, and confidently knowing how your story will land.

Dyllen Nellis, founder of Next Gen Admit, at Stanford University
The story behind the method

Built from experience. Proven over thousands of students worldwide.

Dyllen Nellis founded Next Gen Admit after cracking the admissions code herself in 2018, developing a strategy that got her into every school she applied to and led her to Stanford University. She refined the Next Gen Admit method over years of coaching thousands of students worldwide into their top-choice colleges.

To expand our impact, Dyllen hand-selected and personally trained a team of coaches who have all attended a top university and bring the same caliber of care and quality to every student they work with. No matter which coach you're matched with, you're set up for success. It's our method that makes the results repeatable: 90% of Next Gen Admit students are accepted to their top-choice colleges!

Before you book

You've got questions. We've got answers.

Who will my child be working with?

A dedicated coach from our team, matched to your child's personality, work style, interests, and goals. Every coach has personally navigated competitive admissions, attended a top university, and was hand-picked and trained by our founder, Dyllen Nellis, in the Next Gen Admit Method. They all share the same values, systems, and standards of quality.

If you have a preference, we're happy to take it into account as availability allows, and we'll set up a quick call so you can meet your coach before your first session. No matter who you're matched with, Dyllen oversees the program behind the scenes and reviews every personal statement.

What grade levels do you work with?

We work with high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and each grade level has its own approach. Students who start in 9th through 11th grade work with two coaches at once: a college admissions coach plus an extracurricular and research specialist who helps them build their spike, launch a passion project, and pursue publishable research. Juniors and seniors focus on application strategy, essays, and submitting the strongest possible application to every school on their list.

One timing note: seniors can only join through the summer before 12th grade. Once the fall cohort is full, we can't accept more seniors that year.

How involved will I be as a parent?

We understand (and appreciate!) that you want the best for your child. At the start of the program, we invite you to complete a Parent Intake form so we understand your perspective, goals, and the strengths you see in your child that they may not yet recognize. Throughout the year, you'll receive regular email updates on their progress, so you stay informed without managing the day-to-day.

From there, you get to exhale. The program is intentionally student-led: your child communicates directly with their coach, manages scheduling, and executes the work with professional guidance. This structure builds the responsibility and independence they'll need to thrive in college. If anything urgent comes up, you can always reach our Family Liaison.

Do you use AI on student essays?

Never to edit them, and never behind your back. Many consulting firms quietly run student essays through AI tools that post comments from the consultant's own account, so families pay for human expertise and receive something else entirely. We find that unacceptable.

Every piece of essay feedback at Next Gen Admit comes from human cognition and expertise. Where we do use AI elsewhere in the process, we're fully transparent about it. Your child's authentic voice is what gets them accepted, and we protect it.

What is the investment?

Private coaching ranges from $12,000 to $15,000, depending on your student's grade level and the depth of support they need. We offer payment plans and pay-in-full benefits, and we walk through the details together on your strategy call once we understand your student's situation.

Two things help families put it in context: our students regularly earn $20,000 to $100,000 in merit scholarships, and enrollment is protected by a 7-day refund window if you find the fit isn't right.

Will you write my child's essays?

No, and you wouldn't want us to. College essays must come from your child's voice, ideas, and story. Their coach guides the development of that story and gives specific, rigorous feedback on structure, clarity, cohesion, and storytelling. We may suggest alternative phrasings, but we will never write or rewrite an essay. That integrity is exactly why our students' applications ring true to admissions officers.

How do I know this will work for my child?

90% of our private coaching students are accepted to their top-choice schools, including Stanford, Harvard, Duke, and UC Berkeley. Those results come from a method refined over 2,000+ students and renewed every year through our conversations with admissions officers as WACAC members.

Nearly every student starts with some doubt. They already have unique values, experiences, and perspectives; what they're missing is the strategy to articulate them. That's what we do. And if you enroll and feel it isn't the right fit, we offer a full refund within 7 days.

You've spent years putting in the work.
We make sure colleges see the person behind it.

Book your strategy call today to change the course of your academic journey, while spots last!
